John and Angel Weasel, Lead Pastors

John was called into the ministry at a young age. He attended Trinity Bible College and Bellevue University focusing on Leadership Development. John began his ministry as one of the first pastors at Life Church (now Dream City Omaha). He started Deviate Youth Ministry in 2011 and previously served as the Executive Pastor.
Angel has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and recently left her therapy practice to join her husband in ministry. Angel oversees all of the counseling needs for the church and has a heart to see every believer set free from strongholds that seek to keep them bound in sin, addiction or anything that would hinder them from living the life God designed for them.
The two met in high school, and they were married in 2006. They have been blessed with four incredible children: Jayce, Isaiah, Carter, and Jewell.
Dobie and Jamie Weasel, Founding Pastors
Pastor Dobie Weasel and his wife Jamie are the founding pastors of Life Church (now Dream City Omaha). Pastor Dobie has ministered as a pastor and evangelist, as well a camp meeting and conference speaker throughout the US and Canada for over 30 years.
Pastor Dobie has a passion for seeing lives changed through the power of the gospel. Having grown up in an alcoholic home, and he himself being set free from a lifestyle of drugs and alcohol, Dobie knows first hand about the life-changing power of God.
Dobie and Jamie have three children and nine grandchildren.
André and Melissa Vander Velde, Worship Pastor and Outreach Coordinator

Andre joined our team in May of 2016 and served on the worship team since 2011. André is passionate about seeing Jesus transform lives and our local community. He has a specific call to reach creative hearts and loves helping people discover their gifts and activate them for the Kingdom. André graduated from Augustana University, Sioux Falls, SD in 2006 with a B.A. in Art and Business Communication and from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2014 with an M.A. in Communication.
Melissa also began her journey at Dream City when she and André began attending in the fall of 2011. She joined a life group and from there got involved in as many discipleship/leadership classes that she could. She has been involved in many different areas of ministry and officially joined the team as the Connect Team Leader in January of 2020 and now serves as our Outreach Coordinator. Melissa enjoys serving in any capacity, and loves to see how people grow and connect with others while they serve.
André and Melissa live in Council Bluffs with their five children: Hayleigh, Jaymeson, Miles, A.J. and Lily.
Siryeya Belton, Children’s Pastor
Siryeya Belton was raised in a single-parent household and always knew the Lord has a plan for her Life even when she couldn't see it. Against a lot of odds, she had strength to pursue more. Not knowing what that “more” was, she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2014 with a political science degree with hopes of becoming a lawyer.
Realizing she was not called to law, Siryeya began the 220 School of Ministry that following fall. Being one of the first to graduate from the program, she is now the youth pastor of Deviate Youth at Dream City — and there's no place she'd rather be. It's her heart to reach the youth that the world would call undesirable, unreachable, and unloveable.
Renee Stewart, Worship Pastor
Renee moved to Nebraska in 2014 to be a part of the 220 School of Ministry. She was born and raised in Orange County, California and has played guitar and been involved in worship since she was 13.
Renee was among the first to graduate from the 220 program.
Kevin Shores, Deviate Youth Pastor
Kevin felt called to ministry at a very young age, but did not pursue that calling until after high school. Now, as the Deviate Youth Pastor, he loves to operate in his passion for helping young people discover Christ and who they are in Him.
Kevin was married to his wife, Naomi, in 2016, and both have served in youth ministry since 2013.
Vince Mancuso, Communications Director
Vince has been heavily involved in various ministries since becoming a member in 2010, from bassist in the worship band to barista in the coffee shop.
Graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2011 with an English degree, Vince has had a number of jobs throughout the Omaha metro ranging from a journalist to managing the social media account for a nation-wide coffee chain and is thrilled he can use his skills for Christ and His Church.
Vince met his wife Kelly while working together in 2007 and married in 2010. They now live in La Vista with their two young children.
Christian Lyons, Media Director
Christian was born and raised here in Omaha, Nebraska. He became a member of Lifechurch at the age of 12, when his family started attending. Over the course of the years he has been involved in the media ministry at Dream City, and became a graduate of the 220 School of ministry.
After many years of volunteering and service, he was brought on staff as the in house designer in the summer of 2017.
Ashley Sopcich, Dream City College Director
As our Dream City College Director, Ashley is passionate about empowering and equipping the next generation of those called to the ministry and developing volunteers through her leadership of the Connect Team.
Ashley has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management with an emphasis in Marketing. She also holds a Master's degree in Human Resources and Strategic Management from Bellevue University.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two dogs, Jovi and Bonnie. She is an avid Nebraska and Creighton sports fan. You may also spot her as one of our Dream City Omaha Coffee Shop baristas!
