The Dream City Omaha discipleship ministry is critical in our mission to help everyone discover Christ, recover identity, and uncover purpose. You can explore our six- to eight-week terms below and click on each image for more information on each class to map out your discipleship journey for the next year. Registration for each class will open approximately a month before the term begins.
All Wednesday Night Classes begin at 7 p.m., coinciding with Deviate Youth and Dream City Kids activities. Our Sunday courses are held during our 9 a.m. service.
THE 2024 CALENDAR
Term III - May 5 through June 26
SUNDAY COURSE CONTINUED FROM TERM II: DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. This 13-week course is designed to help you manage the emotional turmoil of this season as well as equip you with practical tools for decision-making. There is a book required for this class, and the cost is $20.
We want everyone at Dream City to Uncover their Purpose. Before you were born, God already planned your life. God longs for you to discover the life he uniquely created you to live--here on earth and forever in eternity. Let The Purpose Driven Life show you how. Based on the New York Times best-selling book, this class will introduce you to the road map for your spiritual journey. A journey that will transform your life.
A Dream City Church original, this class is designed to empower men and women alike to step into Godly stewardship of their physical health. Our health is a God-given gift that we must purposely steward well. In this 8-week course rooted in biblical truth, you will be equipped to make lifestyle changes to produce lasting results that will enable you to run your race well.
Term IV - July 7 through August 28
Centered around the world-renowned Gallup StrengthsFinder, this class offers a new edge on marriage. One of the biggest obstacles to a happy, strong marriage is a lack of understanding of yourself and your spouse. Using insights and language from the Gallup StrengthsFinder, this class will help you gain fresh insight into your spouse, yourself, and your marriage.
Whether you are a new believer, a seasoned saint or simply someone who feels stuck and wants to grow deeper in their relationship with God, Unveiled is for you. The Unveiled class is designed to help you navigate some of the obstacles that are keeping you from walking in the abundant life. Unveiled is designed to equip you to reconcile the reality of your life with the truth of God’s word.
Term V - September 28 through October 23
SUNDAY COURSE: We’re warned of trials of many kinds, from the little tests that wear us over time to the heavy crashes of life. Looking at key stressors we all face, this class will help us see past the trials and into their purpose: perseverance.
Revised and better than ever, this updated course is tailored towards meeting the needs and challenges that blended families face. This class is designed to help couples navigate things like:
-Defend your new marriage from old wounds and the enemy’s schemes
- Turn strangers into siblings through intentional and intelligent blending
- Work and communicate effectively with your ex-spouse as co-parents
- Navigate the fiery furnace of custody litigation
- Bring glory to God and inform the church about your messy and beautifully unique blended family
Does biology matter? Do my desires define me? What does the bible say about pornography? How do I raise kids in a hyper-sexualized culture? The answers to these questions and more are found in the truth of God’s word as we begin to unpack His original design and heart for sexual wholeness. Whether single, married, navigating parenting, or wanting to engage with peers on these topics intelligibly, this class is for everyone.
Term VI - November 6 through December 28
SUNDAY COURSE: Whether you are a new believer, a seasoned saint or simply someone who feels stuck and wants to grow deeper in their relationship with God, Unveiled is for you. The Unveiled class is designed to help you navigate some of the obstacles that are keeping you from walking in the abundant life. Unveiled is designed to equip you to reconcile the reality of your life with the truth of God’s word.
The Holy Spirit is often portrayed as something weird. But the Bible makes it clear that the Spirit is not something. He is someone--a Person who has promised never to leave your side. In this class, centered around John Bevere’s book, you are invited into a personal discovery of the most ignored and misunderstood Person in the Church: the Holy Spirit.
Learn to navigate this season of singleness, regardless of how you got here, with grace and hope. This class is full of biblical truths on wholeness, purpose, identity, purity, and so much more. From topics like sex, masturbation, dating apps, and so much more, this class answers all those questions you want answers to but don’t know who to ask.
ALL ACCESS
Held annually, this weekend retreat will enhance your life as a follower of Christ. The All Access Weekend is designed to create an environment for you to experience God's power. Come ready for an intimate encounter with the Holy Spirit through both teaching and exercises designed to help restore the foundations of who God made you to be.
Our next All Access will be in autumn 2024. Childcare is not available.
