I put my faith in Jesus. Now, what should I do?
Our goal is to help everyone, no matter where they're from, find their path with Jesus, rediscover who they are, and figure out what they're here for. It's not just about getting saved - there's a whole journey afterward. Check out Pastor Kevin's quick vid for more, and dive into the details below.
Five consistent habits to develop as a Christian:
Pray
Prayer is like connecting to God directly. Take a moment each day to thank Him for all the good stuff, keep Him in the loop throughout your day, and talk to Him about your issues, asking for advice on how to handle them.
Study your Bible
Check out 2 Timothy 3:16-17, which says the Bible is straight from God. It won't clash with who God is and sets us up for doing good stuff. Reading vs. studying? It's about what you do with it. Try highlighting the gems, jotting down questions, and journaling how it vibes with your life.
Community
At our core, we're all about real connections. We think you can find that by linking up with other believers, no matter your age. Dive into our small groups and join Dream City Youth. Surround yourself with believers who lift you up, push you forward, and help you get closer to God.
Discipleship
At Dream City Omaha, we're all about helping high school and middle schoolers level up in their faith journey. Join our small groups for your age group, where we dive deep into important topics and connect with each other.
Attend Church
On Sundays, we come together as a crew for worship and learning. Catch us at 9 or 11 a.m., with the early one live-streamed for our out-of-towners. Plus, don't miss our lit youth services every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Join the fun and grow with us!
Should I get baptized?
Baptism is like shouting to the world that we've upgraded from old to new. It's not the key to salvation, but it's a major flex of the change inside us when we got saved. Dive into our Baptism Sundays, happening year-round. Sign up now, and we'll hit you up when the next wave hits.
Should I be giving? If so, how can I give?
When it comes to giving back, think about Matthew 20:28 - Jesus was all about serving, not being served. As believers, we're about that service life too. Find your groove in serving others; there are tons of ways to make it happen!
Give by Volunteering
Getting involved around the church is key to keeping things running smoothly. We all have our special skills, and using them for God's glory is where it's at. Find your spot to pitch in and give back with your time.
Give Financially
In 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, Paul says to give with a smile on your face. He also points out that those spreading the gospel should earn their keep (1 Corinthians 9:14). As Christians, our giving is a way to honor God's ultimate sacrifice for us. It shows our faith in Him, keeps our hearts focused on heavenly things, and helps keep the local church thriving.
Give Your Testimony
Revelation 12:11 says they conquered with the blood of the Lamb and their story. When you share how God changed your life, you're spreading the gospel and passing on the same hope that saved you.
And remember, you don't need to be a pastor to make a difference for God's Kingdom. Just be open and follow His lead. He'll use you in big ways.
